Problem Solving Challenges
Humans are social animals and to meet needs and living; They have to share some interests and interactions for their living. For this purpose, we have to help one another to grow in society. And Mr. Edhi was that one noble person who worked for humanity and kindness after his death, his foundations faced so many financial and emotional crises. The ratio of funding was initially We as a group assigned with a task to collect as many funds as we can. This activity was not only to support a noble cause rather it was going to help us to acknowledge how to face challenges, problems, rejections, and overcome the problems strategically.
Strategy to Work :
Due to Covid-19, it was difficult for us to interact in person and raise funds for Edhi Foundation so we decided to designs posters for the awareness of the problem and collection of funds,share them on our Social Media accounts and with our contacts in person, family members neighbors and friends . We also planned to visit some shops to ask for donations.We work as a team to make strategies but work on an individual basis to address more and more people.
Experience on Collecting Funds:
This was the first time for many of us on collecting the fund and it was exciting and somehow difficult for us to ask people for money and convince them about the validation of our work but in the end, we learn how to be out of our comfort zone and accept the fact that everyone is not interested but we can convince people by our efforts and by mentioning our pinpoints.
Challenges
Our team was excited to work for such a noble cause, I honestly fantasize a big amount of collection as everyone is ready to donate but to our surprise we had likes, views and most important commitments by people but nothing seems like working , this was a strong feeling of rejection and everything was quite sad for us. On the other hand people have some doubts about the authentication of our source and links of donation.
We didn't lose hope:
We were very much clear about the problem so we try to overcome these problems by providing the people authentic collaboration of Amal Academy as well as the direct information of Edhi Bank accounts and ask people to share the screen shots of transaction IDs of their donations. We also took the individual responsibility to contact people and convince them by clarifying the problem and need of time.
We had not reached the target but still a single Rupee was important and the project was full of lessons as how to face rejection, failures, accept them ,revising the plans and strategy, not to give up and how to convince people with your ideologies.
Conclusion
This activity was full of challenges but we learned a lot from it but one thing in particular was nothing will work until we accept the fact that at some points our plans and strategies fail but we can only grow and find solutions by accepting them and refined the ideas where we lack and made new tactics to achieve the target.
